“House, We Have a Problem”

I live in the Ohio Valley in the beautiful city of Henderson, KY.  Many homes in my area, and the Midwest in general, have basements; some finished, many unfinished. That being said, my home has the latter. Which houses the mechanicals of the home and is mostly used for laundry and storage. Last Spring the 15 year old submersible sump pump quit during a particularly heavy deluge of rain. Therefor, a new one had to be installed.
